And Jesus said to them,
“Follow Me as my disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Mark 1:16

Jesus is calling disciples today. Not fans who say he’s great, but followers who participate.

When Jesus saw Peter and Andrew casting their nets, He commanded them to follow Him. He didn’t really ask. He didn’t have to – He was God in the flesh.

Follow Me,” he said.

He told them to accept Him as their master. What is the opposite of master? Slave. He told them to accept Him as their teacher. What does a student do? Learn. He told them to walk the same path He walked. What was that path? Mission for God

He said He would make them fishers of men. We follow, obey, learn, and walk our mission path, and He makes us what we need to be. Jesus is calling you and me today.

“Jesus is calling you and me today.”

He’s not asking. It’s all or nothing He demands. Follow, submit, learn, and walk the path laid out for you. Jesus lived His life on mission. He knew why He was here, and He didn’t let anything distract Him.

Why are you here?
If you don’t know, you can know.

Jesus commands us, but He doesn’t make us. Will you step out of the boat, or ignore Him and keep on going through your everyday grind?

The how may look different for each of us.

I have a dream to help change the world by facilitating and leading people and groups to grow in faith, live in God’s purpose, dream God’s dreams, and multiply like crazy for God’s glory.

“Jesus lived His life on mission. He knew why he was here, and He didn’t let anything distract Him.”

Will you follow today or go your own way?
Will you be God’s slave or Satan’s?
Will you be a learner or will you stay stagnant?
Will you live your life on mission or on vacation?

Sign me up to follow! Ok, Jesus, where are we going today? I’m excited. No other master sees my full potential and wants to help me live it out. Let’s go!
